I don't give up something easily. But considering this xanga thing is not going to keep up with times, plus not allowing people to backup their entries.....it's time for me to move on. A blog on my own website maybe. i dunno.
Was attending my student's competition again today. The more i see, the more i think in order to keep your nerves from breaking down during performance, it's all come down to the time spent on preparation. And it's a kind of extremely low yielding work, considering this fast pace society. Talks about my quest to a complete understanding a piece of music......recently I am trying to push the boundary to re-learn a piece so well that i can record it in 1 take, that I would really approve.
I am really interested in the idea of music dictation from memory.
Also........for the first time in recent years, I got really carried away. It's hard this time anyway. Normally the judge and I would be quite on the same front. But this time he seems to have give priority to merit a stylish performance then demerit a lack of technique. This really leads me to some thoughts. In his shoes, I would be treating both more or less in equal. As in this piece of music, both are equally needed for a successful performance.(it's not really the kind of piece that you can fool around with and get away with it.)
Of course we are talking about everyone is playing almost equally bad and we are trying to distinguish one from another out of a very hopeless situation. Plus the music is way too short i think to be used in a competition. It's hard to have a accurate overall impression in 20 seconds. Anyway, my kids are the benefactors of his "prejudice". So yeah we got off easy this time.
I don't like when the judge and me are hearing different things.....and it would be a disaster if I have some crazy ideas in my mind.

剛勁有力的一曲圖畫展覽會，彈得特別特別的好，聽得出佢好重視果次表演。
果種用勁度，技巧上好像從不避重就輕，下下 "in your face"而將音樂表現出來的俄式風味
(跟glenn gould也有一點似)................我之前從未見過有幾多個人可以咁玩法而又玩得通，有文有路既。頂多三個。

師姐說我彈琴越來越像我香港的老師，我反而覺得在我身上找到了Ss的影子，尤其是在巴哈的approach上面。還有的就是tureck跟glenn gould 錄影
美國的老闆跟我說你還是很臭皮四，麻煩的情度令人生厭，更加是無心教學。當然，你跟本就不是教學的材料，對於我地呢d 慢速的腦筋，你跟本唔會有興趣減慢你既轉數同我地慢慢反。
好高興我係你身上學了很多 (老闆都覺我係吸得最多果個，有幾個本來以經彈得好好的，跟左你都無乜點進步。當然，我覺得根本是timing問題，新黎果時你當然就上心d.....而家無人郁到你，你就緊係點都得)。除了彈琴之外，仲有乜野係面對現實，同埋做人有時必需的冷酷無情，唔可以比人恰，唔係下下都話算啦算啦。係你身上我看到了果種堅強的性格。
